"Hello, Thank you, To whom it may concern: My Wife, Patti, and I recently rode horses at your ranch. Of all the activities we did in Maui during our vacation week, we enjoyed our time at your ranch the most. Butch and Steve were outstanding tour guides and Rocky was a great host! Sincerely, Aloha....... Thank you for the reply about my daughters jacket. Did we have a wonderful time.......wonderful is an understatement! My mom, my daughter, & I had such a fabulous time there. The views that you offer from top to bottom were awesome. When we rode to the top and our guides took pictures with our own cameras........that was truly unexpected. The guides are so professional & including that moment in your trail ride is definitely #1 in customer service! But the ride to the bottom sitting on those horses near the ocean was an added bonus. The view on the way down and the view when we reached the bottom was unforgettable. And when the guides arranged everyone and took our pictures again.......my goodness but you all sure do know how to treat your customers. The running of the horses was the best part for my daughter. It was her first time galloping/running a horse & I gotta' tell ya' I was very nervous. Even my mom galloped along and she loved it. I'd run horses at a dude ranch 20 years ago and loved it. I only have 2 regrets. One regret is that we hadn't booked this ride earlier in our vacation so that we could do it again and the second regret is that I could not divide myself into 2 people & video tape every splendid moment so I could relive it thru video. But it was either video tape or enjoy the ride and boy did I enjoy the ride. Thank you for the delicious BBQ afterwards. That really hit the spot & thank you for the hospitality. I've already recommended Mendes Ranch to a co-worker, Pam, who will be in Maui for her anniversary in a few weeks! Hope to see you again in a few years. Mahalo. Hello, "This is Judy Williamson, (tall white headed lady) who was a guest at your ranch on May 9 for lunch and an afternoon horseback ride, with my son John. (We were fortunate to have a private ride that day!!) The horseback ride, with Jenny as our special wrangler and guide, was the highlight of my trip to Hawaii/Maui. John and I enjoyed it so very much. Jenny was thoughtful, cheerful and friendly, knowledgeable about all the surroundings, and very accommodating about taking our photos on the horses. The ride was beautiful in all settings. I must admit to being a little saddle sore for a couple of days, but it was totally worth it! "Cowboy" was a good horse to me, and I thanked him profusely. As a grandmother, I was very thankful to be healthy enough to get on and off "Cowboy" by myself!!!!! We enjoyed the luncheon beforehand, as well. It was delicious, and just right. We also enjoyed watching Mr. Allen Mendes train and work with a couple of horses in the corral. His gentle hand and appreciation of his horses was quite obvious. We felt very much at home at your ranch. All of you made us feel welcome, and a part of your family for a brief while. I was very reluctant to leave. Thank you, once again, for a delightful stay and ride at your ranch. These will be memories I shall always treasure. Thanks, "Gosh I got so busy with the spring break fun life I completely forgot to send you my feedback regarding the Mendes Ranch. Bill, I can't thank you enough for recommending the Mendes Ranch horseback riding adventure to me and my family. What an absolutely delightful experience and one that my daughter and I will remember for a lifetime! I believe I might have mentioned to you that my daughter Elizabeth has become quite savvy with horses...horse camp, recreational riding the works. I personally have been riding recreationally since my early teens. Suffice to say this was by far the best experience either of us has ever had on a structured escorted trail ride. After we completed a wonderfully long stretch of galloping, my daughter turned to me beaming and said that was the best ride of my life! I was still catching my breath, but it was my sentiments exactly! From the minute we got out of the car I recognized that this was going to be exceptional experience. As soon as our car door opened we were greeted by a lovely young girl who graciously led us through the check-in process. Then a charming cowboy led us down to the orientation pavilion and slowly and precisely demonstrated the safety instructions. It was at this point that I felt this was clearly a professional operation that held safety as a top priority. This felt really good since I was with my 9 year old daughter. The pavilion by the way was immaculate as was their horse stalls. The picnic tables all lined with red and white checker tablecloths in preparation of the luncheon to follow made me wish we allowed enough time to take advantage of it. We had another cowboy (a jockey in a previous life) transported us in air conditioned van to the loading area and provided a orientation to the procedures when mounting the horses. We were again greeted at the loading area by another cowboy who brought over each very carefully selected horse compatible with our expertise. The trail ride adventure began for me with a great sense that we were being very well taken care of. The horses were well groomed, the trail terrain was equally well cared for and the views were absolutely breathtaking! We paused by the waterfall lookout for photo ops, which was perfect. but nothing can surpass the experience of riding right up to the ocean's edge! Simply spectacular...we were all pretty quite just absorbing the magic of the moment. My daughter's birthday is next month ....she was already planning her return to Mendes Ranch for this celebration on our way back up the trail! Can't thank you enough!" Warmest mahalo! "Hello! I just want to thank you for such a great experience today. I did your Aloha Ride at 12:30pm and absolutely loved it. The galloping was exhilarating and such a welcome change from typical head-to-tail trail rides. My horse was "Ginger" and I am thankful she had so much energy and loved to run. I loved seeing the enormous waves breaking at the coastline as well. Steve, my guide, was extremely friendly and helpful. It was a great way to end my vacation. Erika Boomsaad Aloha, I would like to commend the Mendes Ranch and it's staff for a great experience that my wife and I enjoyed in early Oct. '08. We were fortunate to enjoy an afternoon ride with a small group (only 7 of us); and our guide, Frenchie, gave us a wonderful experience, - the vistas were breath taking. He was very cordial, took great care in ensuring that we were safe and we knew what to expect. Frenchie answered questions for all of us and was an all around great 'frontman' for your ranch. Please extend our thanks to him and to all of your staff for a amazing afternoon. We look forward to coming back to the Mendes Ranch when we return to Maui in a few years. "My family and I were in Maui last month, and took your morning trial ride. I just wanted to send a quick note to say Thank You. We had a fabulous ride! We have 2 sons, ages 9 & 12, and they absolutely loved it. The scenery was just beautiful, and the guides were an absolute hoot! I'm sorry that I can't remember his name, but the guide that was riding in the middle/back with us, kept us in stitches the entire time. He was truly a character. We have been horseback riding before in Lake Tahoe, CA, and while that was also a beautiful ride, this one in Maui
couldn't be beat! The trail from the mountains down to the ocean was just breathtaking and we just loved it. My husband loved that he was able
